Ruff Start Happy Tails is dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless animals, many of whom are rescued at the very last moment from euthanasia at shelters. We provide a safe haven to all those who find their way to us through a variety of circumstances. Ruff Start Happy Tails is a Connecticut based 501c3 that works endlessly to save dogs from situations in which dogs are picked up as strays, abandoned, or set for euthanasia. A rescue who's commitment continues and will never change.
Our Mission: Ruff Start Happy Tails believes that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. Our purpose is to rescue dogs and to provide care for orphaned, stray, and abused dogs. Through rehabilitation, socialization and adoption, we strive to provide a humane service to all dogs that come into our rescue. Additionally we provide awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog overpopulation crisis.
